"I've been waiting for this book
for about 14 years now and this coincides with the first time that I heard 'A Physical Presence' by Level 42 and I remember how it blew my socks off then and still does to this day. I've tried over the years to learn Mark King's B-lines on this album but as it is
live and he plays so fast it's hard to decipher exactly what he's playing so it's great that Stuart Clayton has come along to clarify in such a simple, well presented, and well formatted way just what and how Mark is playing the bass. The notation clearly explains and describes how each note should
be played throughout and has been transcribed in such a way that you can tell this book has
not been rushed and is very detailed and accurate and care
has been taken to ensure the reader can enjoy every moment of transposing this music onto their bass. It also includes notes of all the tracks and interviews with Mark King and Jaydee. All in all this is a great monster of a bass book and in my humble opinion every aspiring bass player should own it!!!
